Oh Nicholas, even in our minds, the terrorists can never win.
Nicholas, thank you for posting this beautiful tribute. Remembering that day still hurts. Life as we knew it was forever changed, as I, along with so many mourned the loss of so many innocent people, the loss of our sense of security, and our descent into a world new to us where terrorists can be anyone.
What a beautiful way of putting it; thank you. Although I try to avoid thinking of anyone as a potential terrorist. In my mind, once I start doing that, the terrorists have won.
I am also amazed that some US schoolchildren have no knowledge of the event that changed the modern world forever.

Lovely, Nicholas. Seems that young Americans don’t know squat about 9/11. When Butler U students were asked why it happened, they had no clue.

How can anyone forget? I still remember where I was and how shocked I felt.
Me too. I remember every detail. I still struggle to look at the pictures and watch the clips.
To this day, I’ve refused to watch the clips. I’ve only seen stills. Those were traumatic enough.
A smart decision. When it happened the clips played over and over again. They were traumatizing. For a year, I had trouble sleeping. I make my husband turn the channel if they come on.
Same here. We just switched channels. It wasn’t just morbid or distasteful; it was downright disrespectful.
