Words and Brushes is a project that brings together writers and artists. Writers will write a short story based on a chosen artwork and use their imagination to create a story inspired by that piece. The competition is open to all published and unpublished writers, who can select one or more paintings from the image gallery to write a story about. Nicholas, are most of these in the U.K? Are they open to United States writers too?
I’m afraid you’ll have to check with the individual organizers, but several of these are aimed at the US. Have you had a look at the full list on Almond Press’s site?
