This has been a wonderful year in many respects, with the new arrival in our life stealing our hearts, even though we barely have the time to enjoy a nice cup of tea anymore.

You thought I was kidding about the cat and Mary Natalie fighting for my lap, didn’t you?
Apart from Mary Natalie, one of my top reasons to be grateful are you β my amazing community and friends. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

My cute-ometer just exploded. Thanks, Nick.
Sorry. Hope it wasn’t an expensive one.
Thank you Nicholas for all you do and share for all of us! And can’t get enough of your little beauty. I don’t think she’ll ever have to worry who gets first dibs on Daddy’s lap! π
Aw, you! Thank you – and no, she never has to worry about that π
I didn’t think so! π
Amazing photo. I love it! All you need is an open laptop and a pencil over your ear.
Lol – and a couple more arms π
I guess it’s all over now but I do hope your Thanksgiving was joyful, Nicholas.
Leslie
Well, Greeks don’t celebrate it, but any day people focus on gratitude is a good day in my book.
Agreed, Nicholas.
Leslie
Back at you! What a bounty you have on your lap!
Plentiful π
Happy Thanksgiving. Wonderful picture of daughter and Dad, Okay, the cat too. May the good times roll. Happy family. <3 π
Thank you so much, Tess! It’s a hectic life, but somehow we seem to manage so far π
Of course. As parents, that’s what we do.
Happy Thanksgiving! Looks a little crowded there. A literal balancing act.
Mercifully, the second cat and the dog decided against joining us.
Wow. You might want to set up a lap schedule then.
Only problem is, I just can’t say no to any of them. Maybe Lloyd could help me enforce the schedule.
Not sure if he’s good with kids. Maybe Sari with her high energy and illusion magic can lend a hand.
Won’t they join a carnival afterwards?
Eh, not all it’s cracked up to be. Wandering the roads is more fun for her.
I really need to read more of your books! I’ve bought them all, yet still haven’t got round to it. Shame on me.
Seems to be a common issue. π Even my parents need to catch up.
That’s what you get for being so prolific.
You only live once, so why let the grass grow beneath your feet? π
I like how it tickles my toes?
Too cold out here to enjoy bare feet. Though it beats the week of slug invasion.
I assume you’re referring to your insurance adventures? Yes, those insurers can sure be troublesome…
Nope. Actually slugs that come out when it cools a bit. All over the lawn.
What a gorgeous girl she is! Surprised you do any work at all. All blessings and much gratitude to a good friend(s).
Lol – I’m as surprised as you. Thank you π
The Happiest of Thanksgivings to you and your family, Nicholas. My goodness Mary Natalie has grown. She’s a doll baby. I see what you mean about the cat. I loved the turkey joke. All the best. π — Suzanne
Thank you, Suzanne! This photo was taken late winter, actually. By now, the wee one is already running around the house. They sure do grow up fast!
A nice modern take with the turkey joke, Nicholas.
We don’t do Thanksgiving here, so I will just wish you and your family a happy weekend, and look forward to another year of blogging friendship.
Best wishes, Pete.
As I’m in Greece, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here, either. I did go to a Greek-American school, however, so I’m quite familiar with the custom. I love the concept of a day dedicated to things we’re grateful for, and your blogging friendship is certainly included among them π
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Nicholas – loved the picture of you, Mary Natalie and the cat (having two mischievious cats myself, I know how jealous they can get of sharing their ‘servant’s laps – they know all they have to do is stare at me from the kitchen and I’ll get up off the sofa to feed them. Yep, they have me wrapped around their little furry paws). Thanks for the super blog posts and your wonderful short stories and the Pearseus novels and may you keep ’em coming for a long time to come π
Aw, you! Thank you so much, Catherine π
May Thanksgiving find you enjoying all the blessings of the season.
You too, Mihran π
Oh Nicholas! ROTFLMAO! I had to steal the turkey image π Delightful photo and lovely to see a snap of Marie Nathalie xox A blessing to top them all!
Thank you so much, Fros! Hope this year brings more things to be thankful for π
Thank you, Nicholas! Love to see the wonderful family photo (know Electra is there snapping the pic). Thank you for your helpful & interesting blog posts. Happy Thursday to you! ? Christine
Thank you for reading! Yes, it’s mighty hard to get all three of us in a single photo. Maybe I should just photoshop something π
I have a kitty just like yours purring in my lap right now! So grateful to know you, and thank you for sharing your wonderful insights through your blog. Many blessings!
Aw, you! Thank you. Give Kitty a pat from me π
