Since you all enjoyed my post on Mary Natalie so much the other day, I thought I’d share some proper photos of her. After the previous one, I hope she keeps this in mind when it’s time to ship me off to that home…
If these look lovely, let me caution you that Mary Natalie can yodel with the best of them. However, I don’t have a chance to snap any photos while she’s demanding her milk or needs to be changed. All I’m gonna say on the matter is that I have this recurring dream, of aliens landing on my back yard. Aliens from a planet that uses soiled diapers as currency. That’s usually where I wake up screaming, “We’re rich! RICH!”
It’s all part of the job description, though, right?
They grow up so fast, enjoy … my two are now nearly 21 and 17!!! Still my babies though always will be. 🙂
I know what you mean! 😀
I bet you do! 🙂
she is the cutest thing!
Aw, you! Thanks 🙂
Oh, Nicholas, these are precious pictures. I can see she looks like her daddy. How great to have a little one. Right now it’s dirty diapers but that’s just a down when you know of all the ups with that tiny one. What a blessing. You have so many cherished days to look forward to. We enjoyed our two so much. 🙂 — Suzanne
Lol – our neighbors call her “the clone” because of her likeness to me 🙂
Thank you so much 🙂
Gorgeous baby, Nicholas 😀
Aw, thanks 🙂
Right now she’s a very grumpy baby, too. It’s a good thing that Electra’s looking after her at the moment, so I can check my messages!
Awww. These are precious photos of your little sweetie-pie. Take lots of photos, Nicholas. Before you know it, she be grown up. Hugs to all.
Lol – believe me, I do whenever her Majesty leaves me a free moment… 🙂
🙂
She is gorgeous, Nick! Must take after her mother… LOL! Just teasing! ???
Lol – no, that’s fair. During the pregnancy, I kept telling Electra that I wanted to look like her. She kept replying, “no, I want her to be just like you.”
Sadly, she won… The neighbors call her my baby clone 🙂
Lol! I’m sure she has features of both of you.
True. So far, she has my hair, eyes, nose, chin, facial bone structure and ears. But her fingers are almost like Electra’s.
A flippin’ clone, I tell you – it’s spooky!
Hey this is cute. God bless.
Thanks, Niles 🙂
Yep, Nicholas, it’s all part of the job description! The diaper stage will be over in a few years, BUT you have many other “stages” to go through. Most of them are wonder-filled! Enjoy! Mary Natalie is beautiful. That’s a proud smile I see! Chryssa
Lol – this stage is poop-filled, but no less wonder-filled for that. We certainly find her gorgeous, but we’re hardly the right people to ask, are we? 🙂
Sincerest congratulations, Nicholas, on the birth of your little miracle. She is so gorgeous and sweet and tiny! Keep the pictures coming…
Thank you so much, Noelle! Will do, just not too often. Or I won’t have any followers left… 🙂
Cyoot! 😀
Sorry, it looks like your cat danced on the keyboard, as I’m unfamiliar with cyoot!
Ahh, Nicholas, I see you are unaware of the wonder that is ‘I Can Haz Cheezburger’ and ‘LOL Cats’ wherein a new language evolved to fully interpret the mewsings of our feline overlords and ladies! … cyoot = cute 😀
My twin overlords must be afraid of my learning their language, as they’ve never divulged that information 😀
Thanks for sharing some beautiful photos with us of your precious bundle. May she be blessed with angels around her all of her life. 🙂
From your lips… 🙂
<3
She’s so adorable. thank you for introducing us to her. 🙂
Thank you so much, Deanie 🙂
She’s adorable, congrats again! I see much inspiration from this new phase of your life with Mary Natalie. Best to all three of you!
Thank you so much, Elle! Yes, she really is a captive audience 🙂
Indeed it is, but these times will pass fast and you will be poor (diaper wise) again.
You’re there in Greece, Nicolas, do you think you could check out my site and listen to the song I put out there called “Rhodos” ? Am I off on the Greek music?
Leslie
Link, please, so that everyone can enjoy it 🙂
Thanks Nicolas http://www.swo8.wordpress.com
Leslie
Awesome! Love it, especially as I’ve never been to Rhodos. You didn’t mention if you had any luck locating the Colossus, of course… 🙂
The direct link, for anyone wishing to hear Leslie’s wonderful music, is https://swo8.wordpress.com/2016/01/15/rhodos-by-swo8-blues-jazz-from-the-album-unfinished-business-in-itunes/
We would walk to Mandrake Harbour every day from our hotel and scout out around where we thought it would have been. It was great fun.
Leslie
A few years ago, a psychic said she had located it. The media lapped it up, for some reason, especially when divers were sent to verify the claim.
They found a huge slab in the waters.
The media immediately announced that the famous Colossus had been found. Cue reconstructions, specials, features… the works.
Then, someone noticed that the slab was made of concrete.
It turned out it was a discarded part of the new port construction.
Cue new story 🙂
Nicolas, you’ll have to go and take your family. Rhodos has a charm of its own.
Leslie
The missus has been. Now we have to take the daughter 🙂
Make a family adventure of it when she gets a little older.
Leslie
Such a beautiful baby! <3
Lol – we certainly think so, but we’re hardly objective… 😀
Aww. She looks so tiny in your arms. Adorable. Yes, those diapers – two more years of that. It’s amazing how immune you’ll become to baby poop.
Nah, I’m good with poop. It’s the crying that gets to me. She’s not a screamer, but she does feel uncomfortable at times. I feel so useless when that happens and I can’t take the pain away.
Yeah, those little bodies don’t work perfectly yet. Your comforting response, even when it doesn’t work, will teach her that the world is loving place. 🙂
We’re doing our best 🙂
Of course…and that’s all that’s required to raise happy kids 🙂
Ha ha. No matter what you say, Proud Papa is written all over your face. <3
Lol – guilty as charged 🙂
You can be proud of this kind of guilt.
🙂
Indeed I am. Unashamedly so 😀
<3 <3 <3 More power to you.
The ‘joy’ of diaper changing. So many times I tried to figure out why the baby would wait for me to finish everything before ruining another one. Swear they’re born knowing how to pull that prank.
I knew it!
Try to enjoy every moment. Every time I see an infant now I long for the days my three sons were babies. I still love them, but diapers were no problem compared to teen angst. :/
Oh, I can believe that. I’m already dreading her teen years 😀
She’s beautiful Nick – lucky things! 😀
Thank you so much, Jan 🙂
Rich in diapers, and so very much more. It’s only just begun. Blessings to you all. ❤️
Aw, so true. Thank you 🙂
She’s beautiful!
Thank you so much, Pamela 🙂
She looks divine, Nicholas!
Thank you so much! 🙂
LOvely Nicholas! BTW I introduced a children’s party performer ( on five instruments) to Musiville. I hope he will draw from it and take a copy to a steady stream of potential purchasers in London!
That is so kind of you, Philippa!!! Thank you 😀
The proud father, the lovely baby. I think you should balance that with some shots of you waking up to her screams in the night, and running around patting her back, trying to get that wind out!
Great shots mate.
Best wishes to the three of you, Pete.
I probably should, but, as you can imagine, I’m a bit busy during the running around part to take any photos 😀
LOL!! Hilarious post 🙂 Thanks for sharing. I’m sure she’s a doll – smelly diapers and all 🙂
Thank you so much, Fros! We sure do think so… 🙂
Yep, I was right, Mary Natalie definitely has the cute factor and is completely adorable, smelly nappies (diapers) and all 😀
Aw, you! Thank you 🙂
She’s adorable!
Thank you so much, Juliet! Right now she’s grumpy, so I’m glad I didn’t share any of those photos 😀
Precious. BTW Jalina (5 yo) loves Musiville. I have it at my house to read to her. She’s decided she wants to learn to play a musical instrument, but doesn’t know which one yet.
I got to read the comments earlier than Nicholas, apparently, so I just have to say that this has got to be the best reward for a children’s author. To inspire a child through his stories. I’m touched, and I’m not even the author 🙂
Her comment really made my day! I have to include it in the blurb 🙂
Lovely. Just lovely. I know that when the yodeling goes on and on, you can’t feel “lovely”, but a way I could really feel happy when despair from sleeplessness hit was to think ahead. In the summer, we can go swimming at that swimming pool in Anixi. Think about the six-month-old on a pink floater cooing. Babies love the water. I’m already excited 🙂
I’m soooo looking forward to that 😀
Yay! I love that – I’m so happy that the story inspired her this way!!! 😀
Great! Are you able and willing to spring for the cost of lessons and an instrument. (Just kiddin’)
Lol – sure, as long as I get to pick the instrument. Say, has she really explored the many sounds a rubberband can make? :b
Great photographs Nicholas. She’s much of a age with my latest addition born 31.12.2015 Amelie Rose except it’s my granddaughter and another heartbreaker in the making like Mary Natalie.
I hope the aliens change the currency rapido so you can spread the wealth around, I currently have enough of the nappy type.
Hugs
Amelie Rose – what a lovely name!
I promise to send the aliens your way, should they ever find me 🙂
Arrrrrrr she looks so sweet! Enjoy this stage 🙂
Thanks! She’s in my arms as I type this, so I’m trying to 🙂
