I used the expression Flame Wars with a friend, and she confessed to be unfamiliar with the term. As a service to my friends, here is the definition:

An argument between Internet users who repeatedly provoke each other with personal attacks through e-mail, comments, and other forms of online communication.

As they say, though, an image is worth a thousand words. Especially if it’s Dilbert.

    Something new for me, too, Nicholas. Maybe “flame” wars because it burns up the lines? Thankfully, I’ve never been engaged in one!

    That second comic is so true. Hitler is a bastard when it comes to flame wars. Only way to get to him is saying his art sucks.
