I have quite the treat for you today, a wonderful collection of Epic fantasy, Paranormal, Romance and YA books. For the next 3 days, these 13 authors have placed the best of their books on sale, courtesy of Fabulosity Reads Book Tours.
Mind you, I just heard that some of the books actually have lowered their prices even more, so please check the price before checking out – you may be in for a delightful surprise! 🙂
Which one am I going to grab first? That’s a tough one, with so many works in my favourite genres, but I’m leaning towards Colony Earth, the first book of Regina M. Joseph’s Alterran Legacy Series.
The book reminded me of Erich von Daeniken’s theories regarding humanity’s past, only Joseph has built a convincing world in a book that won first place in 2012’s global eLit Award in science fiction/fantasy. It imagines how and why aliens were here and decided to stay. The series continues the saga of the civilization-building aliens, with Khamlok, the second installment. The third in the series, Resurrection, is nearing publication, and it deals with the consequences of the aliens’ decisions on Earth. It also follows one of the most well known Sumerian “myths”, or is it historical fact? Joseph is currently writing the concluding volume, Redemption.
As a fun activity, I’ve been asked to cast a character in the book. Given the subject matter, how can I choose anyone but the man who first explored the possibility of alien contact, Erich von Daeniken? He could play the part of Lil, the alien leader himself!

It was a pleasure! Thanks for visiting! 🙂
Nicholas, thanks for highlighting The Alterran Legacy Series with the Danigan pic. He was one of the first to put the clues together and get me interested in this topic.
Hi Regina, many thanks for visiting and commenting! 🙂
I had devoured Daeniken’s books as a youngster, and even read a comic that had appeared at the time, with the adventures of the civilization-forming aliens. Your book moved me, as it reminded me of that, and my post was a personal nod to that exciting time in my life. A time that fired up my imagination and had more than a little to do with my writing sci-fi today!
I’m looking forward to reading your books. 🙂
I love this post Nic. Its definitely the first one that has me using my all my faculties…LOL
Lol – great praise indeed! 😀 Thanks!
You eschewed Hollywood glam for authenticity! Brave move and great casting! I chose The Funeral Singer. And who would I cast for the part of the brooding daughter of a mortician, who loves rock music and learns through her mistakes? Who?
Loved your choice! People, find out more on https://mmjayewrites.com/2014/05/17/may-book-festival-by-fabulosity-reads/ 🙂
Oops, forgot to say, I chose to highlight Greek mythology on my blog, the book “Hero for Hire” by C.B..Pratt. I invite your readers and your kind self to come find out whom I cast to play Eno the Thracian 🙂
