You may remember Rayne Hall from my previous mentions of her and her work on my blog.

Rayne is a trained publishing manager with thirty years in the publishing industry and over fifty books published. You have probably bought some book of her celebrated Writer’s Craft Books (over 20 in the series) that have helped thousands of authors (myself included) hone their craft.

Rayne Hall

From using Twitter and social media to honing my deep point of view techniques and using suspense in my writing, Rayne has taught me so much. I have read her books and attended her courses. Over the years, I’ve come to see her as a teacher and a friend.

Which makes it really exciting that Rayne and I will be co-writing her next book, on copywriting.

We plan to have it published by the year’s end and will include all kinds of copywriting tips and tricks that we’ve learned over the years.

Since I’ve been copywriting some 40-50,000 words each month for the past year, I feel I can contribute significantly to the book. Topics we’ll cover include:

  • Brand archetypes
  • Company stories
  • Ethics
  • Bios
  • Pre-written interviews
  • Product descriptions (e.g for Amazon)
  • Social media posts
  • Blog posts
  • Adapting Aida
  • Matching content and voice to the target audience
  • What is SEO?
  • What SEO copywriting?
  • SEO copywriting dos & don’ts
  • Writing sales copy
  • The value of listicles (list-based articles)
  • Writing emails
  • Writing Ad copy
  • Writing product pages
  • Optimizing landing pages
  • Slogans, taglines, Calls-To-Action (CTA)

…and more!

I feel this will become the definitive guide for anyone who wants to start copywriting. Watch this space for more 🙂
