You may remember the ground-breaking Nonlocal Science Fiction magazine from my February cover reveal, or from my interview with publisher Dan Dombrowski. Yes, the one that included “Shoot the Devil,” a short story by yours truly.
The second issue will be released on June 15th, and the cover art is now ready, once again designed by Bioblossom Creative.
The Contents
The second issue contains the following short stories:
“Threshold” by James Pratt
Two engineers explore the interior of an ancient alien artifact that appears, from the outside, to be a box of nothing. It isn’t.
“The Pallbearers of the Light” by Bennen Neithercoat
The night sky is devoid of all stars. Two lonely travelers share their stories by the light of a waning moon.
“Out of the Void” by Ian Broderick
A mining crew exits a wormhole near earth after a long trip home. At least, that was the plan.
“The Texture of Time” by Dara Marquardt
Several generations in the future, humanity has solved all of their problems. At least, they think they have.
“Very Little Risk” by Aaron Katzmarek
A contract killer who specializes in cheating husbands deals with an overly curious client.
“Madness is a Seed That Sleeps in the Space Between Your Ears” by Graeme Tennant
The first Mars colonist is the star of his own reality show. The constant scrutiny of the Internet would be enough to drive anyone mad.
“Amber’s Box” by Kaley Keane
When Amber died, her husband thought he had lost her forever. It’s amazing what they can do with technology these days.
Deal Gone Bad, Chapter 2 by Thad Kanupp
In Issue #1, Jack wound up pinned down in an abandoned grocery store, feral dogs nipping at his heels and a gang of wasteland thugs waiting for him outside. Will a mysterious young boy prove to be his salvation or his ultimate undoing?
Looks good!
