You may remember Nonlocal Science Fiction from my interview with publisher Dan Dombrowski. The magazine is the first publication of 33rd Street Digital Press, a new publishing company built from the ground up to work with independent authors. It aims to utilize all of the advantages of the digital marketplace.
The cover art is now ready! It was generously provided in advance of the Kickstarter campaign (more on that at the end) by Bioblossom Creative, a fantastic design company specializing in digital book cover art.
Dan has also posted a preview episode of “The Independent Publisher,” the podcast of 33rd Street Digital Press. You can find it on the 33rd Street website and YouTube. The podcast should be up on iTunes and most other podcast directories soon.
33rd Street is running a Kickstarter to help launch the first issue, due out on March 14th, 2015. The Kickstarter runs through February 14th and has a ton of great rewards including limited edition, signed prints of the cover art and the full first issue. So go on, be a part of the next great sci-fi magazine! 🙂
Beautiful, cover, Nicholas.
Thanks! It’s very impressive, isn’t it?
Nice cover. 🙂

The cover is great. It certainly caught my eye. Congrats on being a part of the venture!
Thank you so much, Diane! 🙂
Looks great! Sharing on Twitter! BTW, I’ll be writing a feature of it on Wednesday! Come check it out:)
Woo hoo, good stuff! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Hi! I’m surprised and impressed. Would love to see the mag once it comes out. Are you looking for submissions btw?
You’ll have to check with Dan, but if the magazine is a success I’m sure he will be 🙂
Thank you. 🙂
The cover looks great. I’m definitely intrigued by the concept behind it.
I know what you mean!
Sounds like a fantastic concept, worthy of finding its way into the hands of the general public! I just wish I had a way to assist. I listened to the podcast, and heard so many points which related to me and my situation. Kudos to Dan… and you, as well, Nicholas!
Thanks for your kind words – let’s hope the public enjoys it 🙂
That cover is a real eye-catcher! Love it!
Not as eye-catching as Loren’s though, right? 😀
No, but it is more inviting and definitely not as evil looking.
Congrats that you are part of it!!!
Thank you so much, Erika! 🙂
Awesome cover!
I, too, like it! Very eye-catching.
Reblogged this on Legends of Windemere.
I’m hosting Dan in a WIP interview this coming Sunday where he’ll talk about the Nonlocal project and himself as a publisher and writer. That should be really interesting!
I’m looking forward to reading it! 🙂
