Earlier today, I was trying to upload my latest book, The Power of Six, on Goodreads. I started by searching the site to see if it had already been discovered by Goodreads, so I used my name as the search term.
Imagine my surprise when, besides Pearseus, my epic fantasy series, Macbeth was also listed underneath.
Not only that, but it was not even one of my better works – Rise of the Prince had a 4.27 average and Year 18: The Schism one of 4.62, compared to Macbeth’s 3.86 one.
Perhaps my next book, “Something Rotten in Danemark” (working title), will fare better.
I have Goodreads librarian status, which suggests they may not all be that knowledgeable. This one certainly isn’t.
Cheers
MTM
I never judge volunteers, even when the inevitable mistake pops up. It’s more than I do, so I’m grateful to you. Still, it was hilarious… 😀
LOL – I’d noticed that – obviously not all Goodreads Librarians are so knowledgeable about who wrote what LOL 😀
I seem to have (temporarily) solved that Nicholas and sent you a message on Goodreads 😀
Aw man, what did you do *that* for?? Just because it was one of my earlier works (ca. 1606), it doesn’t mean I wasn’t proud of it! Besides, what other book of mine will have 335,000 reviews? :b
LOL thorry (he says and knuckles quietly away) LOL 😀
If he jungle’s quiet in the weekend, I’d love to send you a copy of The Power to review. What say you? Just email me on nicholas[at]persaus[dot]com with your address. 🙂
I can’t do REAL books Nicholas, only eBooks – breathing problems due to the print fumes (really) 🙂 and you have my email address 😀
