As all authors know, inspiration is fueled by coffee – or, in my case, tea.  However, that is hardly enough, for one also needs the food of the gods: cookies.

Yes, I have a sweet tooth. I admit it.  Which is why I was fascinated by the SweeTooth Design Company, now running a Kickstarter project titled Genesis of cookies. Perks include a great poster with a short history of cookies, from the Roman times’ biscotti to the 20th century French macaroon.

Even if you’re not interested in the poster, you’d be well advised to head over to SweeTooth’s excellent website for a fascinating look at the little treasures, recipes etc.
